The Miami Heat have signed guard Pelle Larsson to a contract extension following a productive season in which he established himself as a regular starter for the team.

The Heat announced the extension on Tuesday but did not reveal the financial terms or length of the agreement, in keeping with club policy.

Larsson featured in 70 games last season, making 54 starts and averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 26.4 minutes per game. He was also efficient from the floor, shooting 49.6 percent.

Beyond his scoring numbers, Larsson contributed in several areas. He tied for the team lead in charges taken and finished third on the roster in assists, free throws made and dunks.

The guard led Miami in scoring on four occasions and topped the team in steals 10 times. He also led the Heat in both minutes and assists seven times, plus/minus six times and blocks on five occasions.

Larsson reached double figures in scoring 42 times during the season, including a career-best run of nine consecutive games from Match 5 through March 21.

He recorded eight games with at least 20 points, with his biggest offensive performance coming against Milwaukee on March 12. Larsson scored a career-high 28 points in that contest.
