NBA Analyst Max Kellerman shuts down irrelevant comparisons between the Warriors and Bulls from different generations

The Golden State Warriors are one of the best dynasties in NBA history. They have been dominant in the last decade and therefore have won several titles. While many people thought that the dynasty is over they ran it back again by winning the 2022 Championship as Klay Thompson returned back from injury and helped the cause of the Warriors and Stephen Curry as they defeated the Boston Celtics in the finals.

The Dubs won their fourth title in eight years and have now moved past the Chicago bulls who have only six to their seven titles in total. The Chicago Bulls’ won the titles during the era of Michael Jordan when they achieved two three peats.

Recently Warriors fan favourite Draymond Green sparked a different type of discussion among the NBA fans as he shared his opinion on how the Warriors would beat Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls back in those days. The discussion went on to such a level that ESPN’s Max Kellerman had to talk about it in the podcast called Keyshawn, JWill & Max.

Kellerman probably had the most logical take on the entire issue as he shared how comparing generations is simply not right as there are different variables based on which the game was played back then and is played now. “Here’s the real problem. This gets back to better vs greater. Better is irrelevant. You can just assume the latest is always the best, right? Greatness has to do with how you did versus your contemporaries.”

He shared how the Warriors would surely beat the Bulls if the match takes place now. But he also wants people to consider how the Bulls won’t be playing that old fashioned basketball in modern time. “Of course, the Warriors would beat those Bulls if you just played them together but if that Bulls team was around today? They would play more like a modern team.”

The discussion on GOAT debates and these kinds of generational matchups are never ending as these things have no conclusion. Some fans are more from this generation while others have been following the sport for a long time.
