Oklahoma City Thunder may have to let go of guard Chris Paul as the Phoenix Suns intensify their interest in the player.
According to reports, they may get any of Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, and any other player from the Suns.
The addition of 10-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul would strengthen the side as they aim to push for the NBA title next season.
The Suns are willing to trade Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, and a 2022 first-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Paul and Abdel Nader.
The Suns have not played in the NBA seasons in 10th straight seasons as they narrowly missed out on the Western Conference play-in series during the NBA season restart.
Elsewhere, Oklahoma City Thunder is set to trade guard Dennis Schroder to the Los Angeles Lakers.
He averaged 18.9 points, four assists, and six rebounds despite coming off the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder for most of last season.
Los Angeles Lakers will let veteran Danny Green heads in the opposite direction. Green was the 28th pick in the NBA Draft.
The 27-year-old Dennis Schroder, throughout his career, has averaged 14.1 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 rebounds across 496 games, 177 of which he started.
He gathered those numbers from spending five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks before joining Oklahoma in 2018.
33-year-old Green averaged eight points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for the Lakers last season.
He has now won the NBA three times, having won the title with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors before last season’s win with the Lakers, who beat Miami Heat to the title.
The 2020-2021 NBA season will kick off on December 22 but with a 72-game format.
