The NBA has announced the 2026 NBA Summer League award winners, recognising the standout performers from this year’s competition following the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday night.
Golden State Warriors forward Yaxel Lendeborg was named the 2026 NBA Summer League Most Valuable Player after an impressive campaign that culminated in his team lifting the championship trophy.
The Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in the title game, capping a successful run through the tournament and providing the perfect finish to Lendeborg’s MVP-winning performances.
Lendeborg’s impact throughout the competition also earned him a place in the 2026 NBA Summer League First Team, making him the only player to receive both honours.
Joining him on the First Team are Cameron Boozer of the Memphis Grizzlies, Brayden Burries of the Milwaukee Bucks, Meleek Thomas of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Caleb Wilson of the Chicago Bulls. The five-player selection recognises the top performers across the Summer League after consistently strong displays throughout the tournament.
The NBA also unveiled the 2026 Summer League Second Team, highlighting another group of emerging talents who impressed during the competition.
The Second Team features Cedric Coward of the Memphis Grizzlies, Egor Dёmin of the Brooklyn Nets, Khaman Maluach of the Phoenix Suns, Liam McNeeley of the Charlotte Hornets and Zyon Pullin of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Grizzlies were the only franchise to have multiple players recognised across the two teams, with Cameron Boozer earning First Team honours and Cedric Coward securing a place on the Second Team.
Despite falling to the Warriors in the championship game, Memphis had a strong tournament, reflected in the individual accolades awarded to its players.
Golden State’s championship victory, combined with Lendeborg’s Most Valuable Player award and First Team selection, marked a memorable end to the 2026 NBA Summer League.
The annual competition once again provided a platform for young players and emerging prospects to showcase their talent before the start of the new NBA season, with this year’s award winners standing out among the tournament’s brightest performers.
