UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has sent a stern warning to YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul and his brother Jake, saying that they shouldn’t take stuff up their plate with more than what they can chew.
The two brothers have entered the world of professional wrestling recently and Paul is set to take on Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight soon. Jake is also 2-0 after knocking out NBA veteran Nate Robinson in two rounds recently.
They often call out big stars for a fight and MMA veteran Ben Askren has been named as a potential future opponent for Jake.
But Miocic has warned the brothers that they should tread carefully as they might get hurt if they chose the wrong opponents.
“I mean, they say social media is a motherf****r,” Miocic told The Pat McAfee Show .
“They’re doing it right, it’s helping boxing, but also it’s helping everything because they’re calling UFC fighters out, too. Or the Bellator guys.
“Don’t bite off more than you can chew. I mean, yes, you may be a tough guy, but Askren has been in some scraps. He’s been around, you know, fighting and wrestling and all that.
“I tell people like, you get into a fight on the streets – look at his ears first. If the dude’s ears are cauliflowers, you walk away.
“I wish them all the best. I understand why they’re doing it, it’s all about the money. But at the same time, don’t bite off more than you can chew.”
Jake Paul has been calling out Conor McGregor regularly of late. He says he is confident of winning against the Irishman.
“MMA, he’s the GOAT. MMA, he would kill me in a minute,” Jake Paul said.
“Put me in a boxing ring with him, and it’s going to be a good fight… I think I’ll come out on top.
“He’s 5’9, and I’m 6’1. He’s 170lb, and I’m 210lb. There’s a size advantage that people aren’t factoring in there.
“Look, at the end of the day, it’s entertainment, right? Boxing is a business disguised as a sport.
“That’s what a lot of people don’t understand. They focus too much on the sport aspect of it.”
