Edwards to make a return in March

Leon Edwards is set to face Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC Fight Night 255, scheduled for March 22, at The O2 Arena in London. This matchup is one to look forward to as it marks Edwards’ return to the Octagon following his loss of the welterweight title to Belal Muhammads last July.  

Edwards, a former champion with a record of 22 wins and 4 losses, aims to reclaim his status after a disappointing defeat that ended his impressive 12-fight win streak.

Della Maddalena, an Australian fighter currently ranked fourth in the welterweight division, enters this bout with an impressive record of 17 wins and 2 losses. He is riding a seven-fight winning streak in the UFC, including a notable victory over Gilbert Burns by knockout in his last outing. Della Maddalena views this fight as a critical opportunity to prove himself against a former champion and potentially secure a title shot.

Both fighters are known for their being heavy hitters, which promises an exciting contest for fans. Della Maddalena has expressed his desire to not only win but to do so emphatically, stating that he aims to finish Edwards and make a statement that surpasses Muhammad’s performance against him.
