Arsenal have reportedly been handed a boost in their interest in Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Spanish club increasingly open to allowing the Brazilian to leave on loan in January if his lack of first-team opportunities continues.
The 20-year-old has struggled for regular playing time since returning from his loan spell at Lyon last season.
According to reports, Endrick has made only four minutes in La Liga so far this campaign, raising the possibility that he could seek another temporary move when the January transfer window opens.
Reports say that Roma remain interested in signing Endrick after coming close to securing his services during the summer.
Reports also claim that Jose Mourinho had convinced the forward to remain at Real Madrid by assuring him of opportunities, although competition from Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and other attacking options has limited his chances.
Endrick’s loan spell at Lyon demonstrated the benefits of regular first-team football, as he regained his momentum and earned a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.
He also remained involved with the national team during the September international break, starting in Brazil’s match against Australia.
Arsenal have previously explored a move for the forward and remain interested in adding another young attacking option to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The Gunners reportedly faced resistance from Real Madrid over the summer, but the Spanish club’s willingness to consider another loan could now give Arsenal a chance to revisit the situation.
A move to Arsenal would provide Endrick with another chance to play regularly while developing at a high level, although competition from Roma could make the decision difficult.
Arsenal would also need to convince Real Madrid that they can give the Brazilian sufficient playing time if they want to secure a January loan deal.
Arsenal’s great start to the season was punctured by a shock 3-0 loss to Brighton before the international break.
