Bayern Munich is on the verge of securing a contract extension with 17-year-old prodigy Lennart Karl, according to recent reports. 

The highly-rated academy talent is expected to sign a new deal in the coming days, with negotiations led by his agent, Bayern legend Michael Ballack, progressing positively. Karl is set to play a key role in Vincent Kompany’s squad next season, primarily as a backup for star winger Michael Olise.

Last season, Karl showcased his immense potential, scoring an impressive 34 goals and providing 11 assists in 30 youth matches.
