The Real Madrid goalkeeper added that Belgium absolutely had to win against New Zealand, although he anticipated a similar challenge with opponents likely to place eleven players behind the ball.
Iran currently occupy second place in Group G and will face Egypt in their concluding fixture.
Head coach Ardeshir Ghalenoei expressed satisfaction with his team’s performances throughout the tournament, particularly given the various off-field challenges they had overcome; his side remain capable of finishing top of the group.
