Carlo Ancelotti bemoans impact of international football schedule on Madrid

Real Madrid is to return to action in the Spanish La Liga this weekend against Sevilla after the international break, but with a lot of fitness problems to worry about.

The international matches are having big impacts on Carlo Ancelotti’s key players like Antonio Rudiger, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Federico Valverde. It’s no wonder that Carlo Ancelotti was looking out for his players at the start of the international window.

“I have players who arrive on October 19 in the afternoon, and we play on the 21st. I hope they can arrive on the 21st because if there is a plane delay, they go directly to Seville; they do not go through Madrid. I tell them: ‘See you in Seville,’ Ancelotti said.

Real Madrid have had a fantastic start to the season and have enjoyed good form, with their only loss of the season coming in a 3-1 deficit to Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium. Since the defeat in the Madrid derby, the Los Blancos have managed to win all games played in all competitions since then.

One of the standout players for Real Madrid this season remains the summer signing from Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has scored ten goals in all competitions for the Los Blancos.

The England international revealed after the international break, where he was involved in two matches for the Three Lions, including a 3-1 win against Italy revealed that he would love to spend the next decade at Santiago Bernabeu.

Matchday ten of the La Liga would kick off with Osasuna against Granada on Friday, with four more fixtures to follow on Saturday. On Saturday, it will be a Real Sociedad hosting Mallorca, Getafe against Real Betis, while Atletico Madrid will travel to Celta Vigo after Real Madrid will have faced Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
