Samuel Chukwueze is set to leave AC Milan after his Fulham medical, after both clubs agreed on a deal.
According to reports, the Nigerian attacker is already in London for his medical with the Premier League club.
This deal had reportedly been agreed upon with great confidence in recent days, but there were delays at one point due to other market factors.
Latest reports from Italy say the winger is on the verge of leaving Milan to join the English club for a fee of around €25 million, including bonuses.
Chukwueze will have an opportunity for a fresh start at Fulham after failing to impress at Milan. He had impressed during his stint with Villarreal, but couldn’t replicate the form at the San Siro club.
The Nigerian joined Milan from La Liga side Villarreal in 2023, signing a five-year deal with the Rossoneri. After helping the yellow submarine win the Europa League trophy in the 2020-21 season, the winger produced inconsistent form and failed to impress in Lombardy.
The Nigerian international, who was the goalscorer in the 1-0 win against Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly, made 69 appearances for the Rossoneri in all competitions, scoring just eight goals, failing to make his mark.
Meanwhile, Milan are leading the race for the signature of Marseille outcast Adrien Rabiot.
The Ligue 1 club had put Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe on the transfer list, following their clash in the dressing room after a 1-0 loss to Rennes in their Ligue 1 opener.
Rowe had already joined Serie A side Bologna. Should Rabiot move to a Serie A club, both players are likely to square up against each other.
According to reports, the representative of the former Juventus player, Madame Veronique Rabiot, initiated a fresh direct contact with Napoli, trying to understand the feasibility of the deal to sign her son.
Although the Azzurri were very interested in the French central midfielder, they could not push forward in the deal due to the costly fee to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.
It’s now left for Milan to make a move, and there could be sensational twists with just a few hours before the summer transfer window shuts.
