Juventus winger Francisco Conceiçao is confident that his goal drought will soon end.

The Portuguese international has found it hard to consistently score at the Turin club as he hopes to stay at the Allianz Stadium for a long time.

Juventus star Conceiçao stated this in an interview with Sportmediaset ahead of some tricky fixtures for the Bianconeri.

The first hurdle for Luciano Spalletti’s men is a Serie A clash against Inter Milan on Saturday, and then Galatasaray in the Champions League knock-out play-off.

Conceiçao said the squad must do their job as they also want to win and prove their mettle.

Describing Inter Milan as a very good team that has won every game comfortably, except the 3-1 loss to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, the winger also pointed out that Juventus have the quality to do well and win.

Ahead of their meeting with Turkish giant, Conceiçao expects a very tough game against a strong team with strong players, adding that the least Juve can do is to win and join the top clubs in the quarter finals.

Juventus are going into the clash on a bad run. They were recently eliminated from the Coppa Italia by Atalanta (2-0) and were held to a 2-2 home draw by Lazio in Serie A.

Juventus got punished for wasting many chances in both games, as they created several chances. Conceiçao, who also blamed himself for not scoring to help his team, pointed out that creating chances is the most difficult thing most times in the game. 

The attacker feels Juventus need to score first to feel more confident, which they’re lacking presently.

Conceiçao has scored just one goal and provided one assist in 18 appearances under Luciano Spalletti.

Since the appointment of Spalletti as the new Juventus coach at the end of October, the Bianconeri have climbed the table and are currently in the top four.

As the second half of the season resumes, Conceiçao, who is in his second season at Juventus, sees ample room for improvement, hoping to remain at the club in the long term.
