Coutinho Will Play in the Premier League Next Season

Barcelona needs to get rid of several players, and one of them is Philippe Coutinho.

Everything seemed to indicate that last season would be one of the best for the Brazilian player at Barca as he had the complete confidence of boss Ronald Koeman. But an injury broke the player’s aspirations.

Coutinho only played 14 games for Barca and scored 3 goals in the entire 2020/21 season.

The player is currently recovering from the knee surgery he underwent in April and hopes to be able to return to the field soon.

The Brazilian knows that he must leave Barcelona, and for this reason, his agent Kia Joorabchian is working to find a new club for his client.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Cou’s agent is in England as several Premier League clubs want to acquire the player’s services.

The main candidate is his former club, Liverpool. Coutinho reached his best performance under Jurgen Kloop. In fact, his spectacular performance with the Reds was what captivated Barcelona in 2018 when they bought the player for the impressive sum of €135 million.

The Reds are waiting to know the future of some of their players for whom they are currently in negotiations. If the club loses a key player, the main option to replace him would be Coutinho.

However, Liverpool could miss the opportunity to re-sign the Brazilian as Tottenham are also very interested in the player.

The imminent departure of Harry Keane for around €150 million puts Spurs in a position where they will have sufficient funds to sign several high-caliber players to strengthen their squad.

Cou’s agent has stated that his main objective is to get his client back to the highest level, and the Premier League is the best league for that.
