Former Norwich City and Leeds United defender Danny Mills wants Teemu Pukki to make Elland Road his new home.
Mills suggested that the talented forward could be a target for Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
According to Mills if Leeds United earns a promotion, Pukki could be someone Leeds United should look at, considering that he has already proven his worth in the Premier League with Norwich City so far this season. Mills spoke to Football Insider about who Leeds United could sign and said:
“Pukki would be the obvious choice. It is where does he go and what sort of fee would he command. Does he want to leave Norwich? He is the obvious one. He is a goalscorer and he has proven he can do it. A good position and the way that Leeds play…”
Leeds United will have a tough fight ahead of themselves if they want to add Pukki. Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber recently told The Pink’Un that the team will not sell any players on the cheap, even if they are relegated. This suggests that Leeds United would have to pay a substantial fee to get Pukki away from Norwich City.
While Norwich City wants to keep their best players, The Independent suggested in January that Manchester United wanted to go after Pukki as well.
Teemu Pukki has 11 goals and three assists in 28 Premier League games this season and that could help attract other suitors for his services in the coming transfer window.
