De Ketelaere prefers AC Milan instead of Leeds

Club Brugge striker, Charles De Ketelaere favours a move to AC Milan rather than Leeds United.

This is following the arrival of his representative in Milan. They in the city to negotiate personal terms with the hope that negotiation on fee with his club will be successful.

The Belgian wants 30m Euros for him, but the Serie A giants are looking for new signings to bolster Stefano Pioli’s options in the final third in the region of 20m Euros.

They could get their wish since  De Ketelaere is on top of their shopping list, and the player wants the move.

Having already made a €20m bid, Club Brugge have warned the Serie A champions that they expect them to at least match Leeds’ €30m offer.

Gazzetta revealed that the agent of the 21-year-old have landed in Milan, and they will soon meet the Rossoneri for discussion on personal terms.

Given that the Premier League side has more economic power than Milan, they are hoping he doesn’t change his mind.

According to rumours, De Ketelaere has already spoken with his compatriots Alexis Sailmakers and Divock Origi, who recently joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer from Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the new signing gas stated that it was an honour to join the Serie A champions.

Speaking at his unveiling press Conference, the Belgian said they discussed on various occasions towards the end of the season, but he was focused on Liverpool.

“I soon understood how big the Milan project was. There is a special project here that I am totally on board with, and of Milan’s legacy, its special history is ideal for my mentality.

“For me, it’s an honour to be part of it. This club has a legacy that is passed on from generation to generation. To bring my qualities to this group is an honour.”

The key actors that have made the deal possible were Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. The duo have been seen as key players in some of the club’s most important signings in recent seasons.
