Endrick is set to return to Real Madrid following an impressive loan spell with Olympique Lyonnais, with the Spanish giants reportedly ready to include the teenager in their first-team plans for next season.
The Brazilian forward is expected to play his final match for Lyon against RC Lens this weekend before heading back to Madrid.
According to reports from Brazil, Endrick and his family are scheduled to return to the Spanish capital immediately after Sunday’s Ligue 1 fixture.
Despite previously expressing his desire to remain in France after several standout performances, Lyon were never given the option to make the move permanent, as Madrid retained full control over the player’s future throughout the loan agreement.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a highly successful campaign in France, quickly becoming one of Lyon’s most influential attacking players.
Endrick finished his spell with 15 goal involvements in just 20 appearances across all competitions, strengthening Madrid’s belief that he is ready to contribute at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Rather than taking time off at the end of the European season, Endrick is reportedly eager to begin preparations for the next stage of his career immediately.
The striker has already requested permission to train at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas facilities next week, where he is expected to follow an individual fitness programme while the senior squad completes its La Liga campaign.
Reports also suggest that Madrid officials have informed Endrick that he is considered an important part of the club’s long-term project and will not be sent out on loan again.
The club are believed to be planning adjustments within their attacking setup to create a clearer pathway for the Brazilian, particularly in a role on the right side of the forward line.
Endrick’s return also comes at a crucial moment for his international ambitions with the Brazil national football team.
The teenager has already been included in Brazil’s provisional World Cup squad and is reportedly in a strong position to make the final selection under Carlo Ancelotti.
