EURO 2020: Spain vs Switzerland – Match Preview, Venue, Probable Playing XI, Prediction, Squads

 

The Quarter Final stage of Euro 2020 is all set to begin on Friday. The first quarterfinal will be between Spain and Switzerland. Spain had finished at the second place in Group stages whereas Switzerland had ended in third place in Group A.

Meanwhile, Spain had thrashed Croatia by 5-3 whereas Switzerland will be entering the contest after stunning World Champions France. In fact, this will be the first meeting between these two sides in European Championships.

Switzerland’s only win against Spain came in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

 

Venue: Krestovsky Stadium.

Match Prediction: Spain will enter the contest as favorites but they wouldn’t want to make the mistake of taking Switzerland lightly as they had stunned France in the Round of 16 match. Spain might go on to win 2-0.
