Juventus have sounded a warning to Paris Saint-Germain over the striker Randal Kolo Muani, saying they could opt out of the chase for the France striker.

Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali said the demand for the European champions is too high for the striker, and they could look elsewhere for a striker, as the future of Dusan Vlahovic also remains in doubt with the Bianconeri.

Negotiations have been ongoing for Kolo Muani, who spent the last six months with Tottenham Hotspur practically since he moved there on loan in January 2025, but they never seem to reach a new agreement.

PSG got €3.6m during Muani’s stint with the Serie A side, which was also extended to cover the Club World Cup in July 2025. PSG then loaned him out to Spurs and sent him back to the base this summer.

As talks continue to drag on for a new deal,  Carnevali says the situation is not progressing fast enough, which could force them to opt out.

Speaking with RAI GR Parlamento radio, he said PSG’s demands are too high. He has therefore said it’s either that an agreement is reached or that they turn to a different player.

Juventus are unwilling to reach the €40m asking price, and PSG are also negotiating with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

While noting that the cost of players is growing constantly with figures practically impossible, the Juventus chief said the Serie A club’s revenue cannot keep up with the amount being offered by the Premier League clubs.

“We need to reduce costs and have an economic balance, which is difficult to achieve. There’s no point denying it; you can all see that our league is in a state of stasis for the transfer market,” he added.

Juventus also have a cheaper option within Serie A for the midfield in Inter’s Frattesi, who wants to leave the Nerazzurri, but Carnevali insists Juventus can be ruled out of that race.

Describing Frattesi as an extraordinary lad who would do well at all big clubs,  Carnevali said Juve do not need a player of his characteristics.
