Juventus have made a formal around €30m for Francisco Conceicao as they aim to sign the attacker on a permanent deal.

Conceicao spent last season with the Turin giant on loan from Porto and played a huge part in the season.

Juventus need to resolve some big details with FC Porto, but there seems to be a race against time for them because they will need to pay the release clause, which is only active until midnight Tuesday. After Tuesday, it will automatically rise to €45 million.

From the look of things, the Bianconeri’s attempt to get a cheaper deal after he spent last season in Turin on loan seems to have been futile after Juventus had paid €10m for the loan deal.

Having conceded that the price would not drop below €30m, Juventus want to pay it in three instalments rather than in one go, which won’t formally be an activated release clause.

According to O Jogo,  there remain quite a few details to be resolved, and Porto insists on getting a basic deal in place before midnight.

According to reports in Italy, Conceicao is willing to sacrifice up to €3 million to help push the move over the line, half of what he would be owed for the transfer.

It was revealed that the Portuguese winger would get 20 percent of the fee if it were organised outside of the release clause, which at €30m would be €6m.

Agent Jorge Mendes is working hard to broker the agreement. What remains to be seen is who will pay that outstanding €3m to Conceicao.

It was also gathered that the Portuguese giant wants a written confirmation, which will ensure that this issue will be covered before going ahead with the transfer.

All hands are now on deck to ensure the deal is completed as soon as possible.
