On-loan Juventus striker Randal Kolo Muani has said it’s harder playing for Juventus than his parent club, Paris Saint-German.
Since securing a dry loan move to the Turin club, the France international has been sensational.
Despite his sensational start to life at Juventus, the Frenchman revealed how it is ‘tougher’ than playing for PSG as he prepares for the massive match against Inter.
Since moving to the club, Kolo Muani has already scored five goals over his first five games, bagging braces against Empoli and Como after finding the net on his debut with Napoli.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the center forward said things are going well, and he’s very happy at the club.
Kolo Muani further revealed that he was given a warm welcome, like a big family, and his teammates provided him with the right services.
“I spoke to the coach and the captains and got on with all my new teammates. It is a big change from Ligue 1, as here he works much harder, it’s tougher, and the style of football is very tactical.
“I was glad to get a good debut, my teammates gave me the right kind of service and I was able to make the most of it. I repeat, I’m very happy in Turin and hope this good moment continues in future.”
Meanwhile, Juve are reportedly making a move to make his loan deal permanent. This was a hint from the club director, Cristiano Giuntoli.
Before departing for Juve, Kolo Muani revealed that he sought out the advice of his PSG teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma; although some of it came in an unusual form, they made him feel at ease.
A large part of his decision was also down to conversations with coach Thiago Motta, who seems to prefer Kolo Muani to Dusan Vlahovic in the starting XI. The Serbian is already on the radar of Arsenal.
“He is a coach who talks so much to his players, gives a lot of advice, and explained to us the meaning of this club and that we must give our all on the field to repay the love of the fans. I think the rapport between us in the squad is close, and that makes us stronger. It’s good to have a coach like that.”
The biggest test for Juventus is set to come this weekend, when they play in the Derby d’Italia against bitter rivals and reigning Champions of Italy, Inter.
“It is a huge match, a derby. We must prepare as best we can, and that is what we have been doing over the last few days. I think this is the best opportunity for us to prove what we are capable of not just to our fans but to all those watching the game,” concluded Kolo Muani.
“It is up to us to prove our top level, to sweat hard to bring home the three points.”
