Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch seems interested in Sebastián Driussi to strengthen his team’s roster.
Driussi had an excellent season with MLS’s Austin FC, with whom he scored 22 goals and five assists. It seems that this performance has been sufficient merit for the Argentine attacker to arouse the interest of important clubs in Europe.
According to reports from TyC Sports, the Argentine aroused the interest of the English club, who see in the player the reinforcement they need to consolidate their position in the Premier League and even think about aspiring to reach some of the European tournament positions.
Added to Leed’s interest is that of two other Bundesliga teams that have even asked Austin FC about the former River Plate player.
Driussi became the leading scorer for Austin FC, a team that reached the MLS Western Conference final, where the MLS Cup champion, LAFC, defeated them.
Driussi already had a stint in European soccer, but on that occasion, he did not have much action, as he revealed in an interview for a Twitch channel. In the past, he intended to add playing time, so he left Zenit St. Petersburg and signed with Austin FC.
“He didn’t have enough power to choose where he wanted to play, my options were to stay at Zenit or go to Austin, and I decided to go to Austin. But if I had been able to choose where to play, I would first go back to River. The people of River always show me affection,” revealed Driussi.
