Reports in France say Olympique de Marseille have denied that they hold an interest in Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon.
Sacha Tavolieri reported Marseille’s strong interest in the Israeli international event earlier on Monday.
The forward was key to Leeds United’s promotion back to the Premier League during his productive loan spell with the Yorkshire club.
Since his loan does not include a purchase option, he might not return to the club this summer.
Spurs might as well want to keep him ahead of the new season.
According to Tavolieri, the Ligue 1 club explained the interest of OM and specifically of Roberto De Zerbi, who is a big fan of the player.
Although there are currently no talks between Tottenham and Marseille regarding the 25-year-old, Tavolieri evoke talks between OM and the player.
Solomon appears to be very open to making the move to the Vélodrome, amid those reported talks about an attraction for Champions League football next season.
However, Tavolieri now reported that OM have denied expressing an interest in the Tottenham forward.
Meanwhile, Marseille will celebrate their Champions League qualification in Madrid.
Marseille had dispersed to Le Havre on Saturday to secure the spot.
The Marseillais met up at the airport on Monday, and some had just returned from Paris, where they attended the UNFP trophies, where Geronimo Rulli and Amine Gouiri won awards.
After being given rest, others went for a more personal getaway, while almost the entire squad flew to Madrid.
De Zerbi scheduled no new training in agreement with the management, who had been notified in advance.
Leonardo Balerdi and his teammates left for the Spanish capital.on Monday for a getaway of just under 48 hours, similar to the trip organised to Copenhagen in December, shortly before their Coupe de France round of 32 match against Saint-Étienne (4-0, on December 22).
