Aftermath Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Watford at Carrow Road, midfielder Tom Trybull has revealed the mood and reactions of the Canaries players in the dressing room.
The loss was Norwich’s 6th in 7 games with the 0-0 draw at Bournemouth being the only point Daniel Farke’s men e have picked during that period.
Norwich City conceded the first goal of the game in a ridiculous manner after Ben Godfrey lost possession which allowed Gerard Deulofeu to open the scoring in front of surprised fans in the Carrow Road stadium.
Gerard Deulofeu was also heavily involved in the second goal scored in the 52nd minute after setting up Andre Gray who put the ball beyond the Goalkeeper.
Norwich goal-scoring effort in the last seven games have been poor as well having scored just twice, and the wretched record continued with Watford Goalkeeper Ben Foster thwarting the Canaries effort.
“We are all pretty disappointed because we wanted to show a decent performance from the first minute on and it went in exactly the wrong direction”. Trybull explained
He went further to disclose that the dressing room was not calm after the result which leaves the team rock bottom in the league standings, with an imminent return back to the Championship staring at the Canaries.
According to him, the reaction of the players to the early goal conceded was encouraging as the team dominated but was unfortunate to score a goal.
Norwich City will now hope that the international break will provide the opportunity to regroup and get things in order. Before October’s international break, Norwich had two wins in as many matches.
However, after October’s international break the team is yet to win a game and they would hope the travel to Goodison Park immediately after the international break on the 23rd of November to face Everton, will change the team’s run of form positively.
