Bournemouth has signed Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for £25 million, the club announced. The 25-year-old Serbian international joins on a five-year contract, becoming the Cherries’ third signing of the summer.
Petrovic spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, where he was named player of the season, helping the team secure a Europa Conference League spot.
Petrovic, who has seven Serbia caps, made 23 Premier League appearances for Chelsea across two seasons. He is expected to become Bournemouth’s first-choice goalkeeper after Kepa Arrizabalaga’s departure to Arsenal.

Chelsea signed Petrovic for £14 million in 2023 from MLS side New England Revolution. Despite showing flashes of potential, Petrovic lost his place as Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper under Enzo Maresca to Robert Sanchez. Bournemouth’s move provides Petrovic with an opportunity for regular first-team football.
