Real Madrid have continued their busy summer transfer window by completing the signing of Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan, while remaining heavily linked with a sensational move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.
The Spanish giants confirmed Dumfries’ arrival after triggering his €20 million release clause, with the experienced right-back signing a four-year contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2030.
The 30-year-old joins José Mourinho’s squad to strengthen the right side of defense following the departure of Dani Carvajal.
Dumfries will now compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a starting berth after ending a successful five-year spell at Inter, where he made 207 appearances, scored 27 goals, provided 28 assists, and helped the Italian club win two Serie A titles.
His arrival also follows Real Madrid’s recruitment of Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, and Marc Cucurella as the club continues to reinforce its squad ahead of the new campaign.
While Madrid have already secured one major addition, reports continue to link the club with a blockbuster move for France international Michael Olise.
The Bayern Munich winger has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target, with speculation suggesting Los Blancos could be prepared to submit a record-breaking €223 million offer for the 24-year-old following his impressive performances for both club and country.
However, Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano has dismissed suggestions that his teammate could be heading to Spain.
Speaking during France’s World Cup campaign, the centre-back insisted Olise would remain in Munich, while former France striker Louis Saha praised the winger’s remarkable rise from Crystal Palace to becoming one of Europe’s most sought-after attackers, saying he fully deserves the recognition and transfer interest he is attracting.
For now, Olise remains focused on helping France in the FIFA World Cup, while Real Madrid continues reshaping Mourinho’s squad ahead of the new season.
With Dumfries already through the door and transfer speculation surrounding Olise showing no signs of slowing, the Spanish giants appear determined to strengthen further as they prepare to compete for major honours on both the domestic and European stage.
