Real Madrid has revealed intentions to sign a Premier League star

Spanish giants Real Madrid have revealed intentions to sign Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold whose contract with The Reds will expire in 2025.

Arnold is currently contracted to Liverpool until June 2025 and will be free to negotiate a free transfer away from Anfield when the January transfer window opens.

There are talks between the player and the club over renewal but the 26-year old gave a clue he might be leaving Merseyside when he was asked about this future last week while on international duty with the Three Lions.

Meanwhile, sources in Spain have confirmed that the club is considering other right-back options. They include Tottenham’s Pedro Porro, Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, and 21-year-old Sevilla’s right-back, Juanlu.

The sources revealed that the aforementioned players were the players the reigning European Champions have identified to reinforce the position but the Liverpool right back is Real’s top priority, and his arrival could only be possible if he runs down is contract with The Kops.

Another part of the team that Real Madrid is looking to bring in more outlets is the center-back, and the possibility of making a significant signing in the position in the coming year has been boosted.

Other players being tracked by Real Madrid are Palmeiras’ 18-year-old Victor Reis – who is also being monitored by Arsenal, and RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba.

Considering their injury problems, Madrid is keen to be active in the mid-season transfer window despite previous doubts, as their last winter transfer signing was in January 2019, when Brahim Diaz joined the club from Manchester City.

The decision to get reinforcements has been agreed upon by the club and coach Carlo Ancelotti – who has been clamoring for more additions since January.

Dani Carvajal’s ACL injury and the delays in David Alaba’s recovery from his own ACL have necessitated the change in plans of the club’s hierarchy.
