Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to make a €100 million bid for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, with the Spanish giants considered the leading candidates to sign the Turkish international.
According to reports, Juventus could be willing to sell Yildiz despite the player signing a new contract until 2030 in February.
The club would reportedly consider his departure if they fail to qualify for the Champions League for a second consecutive season.
Juventus are said to value the 21-year-old at around €100 million, a figure Real Madrid would reportedly be willing to meet if the Italian club misses out on Europe’s top competition again.
Madrid are believed to see Yildiz as a potential long-term addition to their attack.
Yildiz’s current situation could therefore make the second half of the season particularly important for both the player and Juventus.
If he returns to full fitness and reproduces the form that attracted interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, his market value and the competition for his signature could increase.
For Juventus, keeping Yildiz would boost their attacking options. Still, another failure to qualify for the Champions League could pressure the club to consider a lucrative transfer.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, will continue to monitor his recovery before deciding whether to make a formal approach.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the forward. However, Arsenal signed Christos Tzolis during the summer in a move that strengthens their options on the left wing. At the same time, a return to Bayern appears unlikely after Yildiz left the German club following disagreements.
Yildiz has been sidelined since suffering a foot injury during Juventus’ opening Serie A match at Frosinone.
He is not expected to return until towards the end of the first half of the season, so interested clubs will likely monitor his form after his return before making a move.
The Turkish forward enjoyed a productive campaign last season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 36 Serie A appearances.
He has also earned 31 international caps for Turkey, scoring five goals, and his form after returning from injury could play a major role in determining his future.
