Serie A clubs interested in signing Lucas Digne

 

Reports have emerged that numerous Serie A clubs are keen on signing Lucas Digne, while Chelsea are also monitoring the situation.

It was gathered that Digne is eager to move on from the Toffees due to his rapport with coach Rafa Benitez which has gone notoriously tense.

The 28-year-old former AS Roma defender already has Serie A experience during the 2015-16 season on loan from PSG.

The left-back who was sold to the Toffees by Barcelona for €20m in 2018 is under contract until June 2025.

Sport Mediaset reports that Inter are only prepared to take Digne on loan with an option to buy.

However, the Liverpool club wants to make sure the player leaves at the end of the season by making that option into a guarantee.

He has played 15 competitive games scoring one goal in the EFL Cup for Everton this season.

In another development, Milan are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for defender Abdou Diallo. According to reports, it would only take him on loan with the option to buy.

Ahead of the winter window, there were numerous suggestions that Diallo was top of the wish-list to replace Simon Kjaer.

The Denmark defender has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, which he has had surgery on.
