Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that interim head coach Igor Tudor has left the club by mutual consent after just 44 days in charge.
The decision comes after a difficult run of results, with the north London side struggling to pull away from relegation danger in the Premier League.
Tudor, who was appointed in mid-February following the dismissal of Thomas Frank, oversaw only seven matches during his brief tenure.
Despite arriving with a reputation for making quick impacts in short-term roles, he was unable to replicate that success at Spurs.
During his time in charge, Tottenham managed just one point from five league matches, slipping to 17th place in the table.
A heavy 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest proved particularly damaging, leaving the club hovering just above the relegation zone with seven games remaining in the season.
In all competitions, Spurs suffered five defeats in seven matches under Tudor. Their struggles were not limited to domestic football, as they were also eliminated from the Champions League last-16 stage by Atletico Madrid, despite a spirited second-leg performance.
Off the pitch, Tudor endured personal tragedy, missing post-match media duties after the Forest defeat following the death of his father.
In a statement, Tottenham expressed their condolences and support for the Croatian coach and his family during this difficult period.
The club also confirmed the departures of goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic and physical coach Riccardo Ragnacci as part of the backroom changes.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect. Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach. We thank Igor, Tomislav, and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly,” the statement read.
Tottenham says an update on a new head coach will be announced in due course as they look to stabilise their season and avoid relegation.
