In a major move on the European football scene, Victor Osimhen has officially completed his transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray for a fee of €75 million.
The Nigerian striker, who enjoyed a highly successful loan spell in Istanbul last season, has signed a four-year contract with the Turkish champions.
The transfer saga had been ongoing for several weeks, with Osimhen expressing a strong desire to remain at Galatasaray despite receiving more lucrative offers from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Ultimately, his preference to continue his career in Istanbul played a key role in finalizing the deal.
Financial details of the agreement reveal that Galatasaray will pay €40 million up front, with the remaining €35 million to be settled by the end of the 2025-26 season.
Additionally, Napoli will receive 10 percent of any profit from a potential future sale of Osimhen, rather than 10 percent of the total transfer fee.
Osimhen’s new contract includes a net salary of €15 million per season, along with a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million in image rights fees, bringing his annual earnings to approximately €21 million.
Napoli originally signed Osimhen from French club Lille for a package worth around €78.9 million, including both cash and player exchanges.
During his time in Naples, Osimhen played a crucial role in helping the club secure a historic Serie A title.
With this transfer, Galatasaray secures one of the most sought-after strikers in world football, while Osimhen continues his career in a city and club where he has already made a significant impact.
