Women’s golf gains a new indoor league called the Women’s Tomorrow’s Golf League (WTGL), set to start in winter 2026-27. 

The LPGA Tour partners with TMRW Sports, the group behind Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL, to run the events at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. 

Matches will employ the use of simulators with a large screen and a rotating green for putting, with a format similar to the men’s TGL, which began in 2025 and drew viewers with its prime-time broadcasts. 

Teams consist of LPGA players in contests that last about two hours each. They play stroke play and match play on virtual courses from real locations. WTGL aims for six or more teams linked to cities, the same as the men’s setup.

​LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler stated the partnership helps reach new fans and increases visibility for athletes. 

Events follow the 2026 LPGA season and avoid weather problems from outdoor play. Broadcasts will air on ESPN with mics on players and graphics for shots.

Top LPGA talent will join, building on the men’s league where pros like Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Hideki Matsuyama currently play. 

The SoFi Center hosts practice and public access after matches. Indoor tech provides steady conditions for swings and puts.​ 

Announcements on schedules and players, as well as prize money details, will arrive soon. It fits the growth in women’s sports viewership from leagues like WNBA and NWSL. 

LPGA players will use this medium to gain more playing time through the winter months. The format includes team shots in rotation, with points for accuracy.​ As it’s an indoor league, it reduces travel weather risks and keeps schedules on track.

Fans will be able to buy tickets for live events at the arena. Streaming will be available for the matches to be viewed worldwide. 

All teams will train using the same equipment for fair play. Shot tracking shows distance and spin data during broadcasts.
