Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka will team up in the mixed doubles event at the 2026 US Open.
The pairing will be one of the most high-profile partnerships in the tournament’s short history under its revamped format.
Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam singles champion, and Sabalenka, the leading figure in women’s tennis, headline a field designed to attract leading singles players to mixed doubles during US Open Fan Week before the start of the main singles draws.
The USTA’s entry list features several notable combinations, including Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz, and Carlos Alcaraz alongside Emma Raducanu.
However, the Djokovic-Sabalenka partnership has gained major buzz ahead of the tournament.
For Djokovic, the event marks another appearance in the restructured mixed doubles competition. The Serbian competed in last year’s edition with compatriot Olga Danilovic and returns in 2026 alongside one of the most accomplished players on the WTA Tour.
Even though he recently clocked 39, Djokovic remains among the elite players in men’s tennis and continues to add new chapters to a career that already places him among the greatest players in the sport’s history.
Sabalenka arrives in New York as number one on the WTA ranking. The Belarusian has established herself as a regular contender at the biggest tournaments and is known for her success on hard courts, making her a natural fit for the fast-paced format of the mixed doubles championship.
While both Djokovic and Sabalenka will have their primary focus on the singles competitions that follow, their partnership will, no doubt, give fans something extra to look out for when the tournament starts.
