We are playing good Basketball, we are just not winning games – LeBron James after loss against Philadelphia 76ers

Los Angeles Lakers talisman LeBron James feels they are playing good Basketball but they are not winning games. The Lakers lost against the Philadelphia 76ers by 113-112 on Sunday night and this was their third loss on the bounce after winning five consecutive matches.

James put up 35 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds and also became only the second man in NBA history to complete 38000 points after the legendary Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

However, James’ efforts went in vain as the Lakers lost by the skin of their teeth.

“It’s just frustrating to get into those positions and not be able to come out with the victory,” James said as quoted by A. “We got the stop, gave ourselves a chance to win, and didn’t execute. … We’re playing good basketball. We’re just not winning games.”

On the other hand, James Harden scored 24 points and 13 assists for the Philadelphia 76ers. 76ers head coach Doc Rivers feels his team wasn’t at their best defensively against the Lakers.

“Wasn’t one of our better games, especially defensively,” 76ers coach Doc Rivers said. “We had no pace. We were tired. As a coach, you’re saying, ‘Let’s just get to the fourth quarter and see if we can win it.’”

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook feels he was fouled by Joel Embiid at the fag end of the match but the latter disagreed.

“(Embiid) was grabbing my wrist,” Westbrook said. “I couldn’t get my hand up to shoot. … Couldn’t get the ball up. It’s frustrating, but I know the game didn’t come down to that one shot.”

The Lakers will next take on Houston Rockets on Monday night.
