“We believe we can win a championship,” says Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young on their aspirations to win the title

The Atlanta Hawks are high on confidence that this new season will unfold plenty of surprises for their fans. The franchise did great work in the offseason to snap up Dejounte Murray from the San Antonio Spurs. The addition of Murray will add great stability to their backcourt which already has superstar Trae Young.

During the Hawks media day, Trae Young shared his excitement for the season ahead and also shared his title aspirations with the addition of Murray to the roster. “Those guys in the locker room are the guys that I know, who we had dinner with last night,” Young said. “We all believe what we can do, and we believe we can win a championship. I know I do.”

Young shared how he does not care about what other teams think about him and the Hawks. He just wants the players in his locker room to have the same mentality. “I expressed that to my teammates, and I know they have that same mentality. So, It really doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks of us, or anything like that. It’s all about what we can do and what we show. So, I’m just ready, more than ever, to go out there and play this year so we can show that,” Trae Young added.

The Hawks are very exciting team with players like John Collins and Clint Capela also adding more firepower to a very young team. While the Hawks are young and looking very exciting the competition in the Eastern Conference will make things very difficult for them. Trae Young and his men will have to go through the likes of Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.

All these teams have great roster and will be looking to force themselves for the NBA title this time. So for the Hawks to make a bid for the championship will be very difficult as both Dejounte and Young will have to play out of their skins to help the Hawks reach the finals in the upcoming season.

The Hawks got knocked out of the first round in the 2022 Playoffs. So with their strengthened roster this time they will look to improve and at least push for a place in the conference finals. But nevertheless the Hawks will be a very exciting watch for the fans.
