Fury Pressures Chisora To Accept Trilogy Fight Offer

It looks like Tyson Fury may be ready to come out of ‘retirement’ as he has revealed his willingness to face Derek Chisora for the third time. Fury, who announced that he was retiring after defeating Dillian Whyte back in April, has fought Chisora twice in the past and defeated him on both occasions. Now, he says he wants to be the first heavyweight champion in history with two trilogy victories, having defeated Deontay Wilder last year.

Fury made this announcement through a video via his social media page. He said: “You’re running, Derek, from the trilogy. You call yourself war, you should call yourself a chicken.”

He continued: “I’ve decided to come back to boxing because I can be the first heavyweight champion in history to have two trilogies, one with Deontay Wilder, a second one with Derek Chisora.

“I always said I would fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career.”

For the right, Fury said he was teaming up with Isaac Lowe as his trainer, saying that Isaac “knows me better than anybody on the planet, and we’re a great team.”

This announcement is coming a few weeks after Chisora called Fury out over an alleged fallout. Before now, the two of them used to have a good relationship until, according to Fury, Chisora bet against Fury when he faced Whyte. Fury said he cannot be friends with someone like that.

But it seems like the two of them want the trilogy fight to happen as they have both asked for it. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, there would be a formal agreement and a confirmed date and venue. It is unclear whether Fury would be putting the WBC title on the line for the fight. But if his retirement was real in the first place, he would no longer be the titleholder.
