Instead, Barcelona added a fourth goal late on through an Eric García header, which sealed a convincing win and moved them within a point of second-place Atlético Madrid and two points off leaders Real Madrid.
Sevilla’s unbeaten run of four games came to an end, with García Pimienta’s men sitting in 13th place in the LaLiga table. The loss will be a disappointment for the hosts, who had been showing signs of improvement in recent weeks.
