Undoubtedly, one notable area in the Bayern team that needs more attention is the attacking department.
The Bavarians have taken the first step in rebuilding by bringing onboard former Liverpool man Sadio Mane. However, that doesn’t take away the fact that there will be no other arrivals on the front line as there remains an unclear future for some other strikers.
With the transfer window very active, there are high tendencies for more signings in the coming weeks as the Bundesliga champions continue to be linked with several strikes around Europe.
One player on the list continuously linked with Bayern in the past twelve months is Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman will become a free agent on the 1st of July [Thursday], which automatically makes him free to talk to any club.
According to recent reports in Spain, Bayern is set to offer Dembele a deal. The player’s representatives met with the Catalan giants on Monday but failed to agree on any renewal.
This has prompted Bayern to take advantage of the situation to offer the French international a much-improved deal than the Spanish giants, but there has been no reply yet.
Further reports reveal Bayern isn’t the only interested club as premier league side Chelsea is also in the mix. Nevertheless, the situation will become clearer in the coming days.
Bayer must look to make swift plans to get their man, but first, they will need to sort out the issues of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry, with the latter stalling on signing a new contract.
The latest reports say that the former Arsen man might be exiled from the team if he fails to sign a new deal before the new season.
It remains to be seen how things unfold for Bayern. Once these are sorted out, they can bring in more signings for a new frontline at Bayern.
