Bellingham’s crucial goal lifts Real Madrid past Juventus

Jude Bellingham reminded everyone why he’s one of Europe’s brightest stars as his first goal of the season sealed Real Madrid’s 1–0 win over Juventus in the Champions League.

After a frustrating start to the campaign caused by a shoulder injury, the England midfielder picked the perfect moment to deliver for Los Blancos under the lights at the Bernabéu.

Juventus started with real intent, forcing Thibaut Courtois into two sharp saves through Dusan Vlahović and Kenan Yıldız in the opening minutes.

But once Real settled into their rhythm, the game began to tilt heavily in their favour with Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler pulling the strings in attack.

The home crowd roared every time Vinícius Júnior got on the ball, and his dazzling footwork caused constant problems for the Juve backline.

Michele Di Gregorio, however, was in inspired form, producing a string of top-class saves to keep his side in the contest.

The breakthrough finally came in the 57th minute when Vinícius danced into the box and saw his shot rebound off the post.

Bellingham reacted quickest, pouncing to stab home from close range and sending the Bernabéu into celebration.

It wasn’t his most spectacular goal, but it was one that meant everything after weeks of stop-start frustration.

From that moment, Real looked in full control, dictating the tempo and limiting Juventus to half-chances.

Mbappé might not have scored, ending his 11-game streak, but his movement and creativity kept the visitors constantly on edge.

Arda Güler shone with his vision and passing, showing why fans are so excited about his potential.

At the back, Éder Militão and Federico Valverde were rock solid, ensuring Courtois had a relatively quiet second half.

Juventus, to their credit, never stopped battling, but their attack lacked the spark needed to break through Real’s defence.

Di Gregorio was easily their standout performer, making eight saves that prevented a heavier defeat.

Bellingham’s all-action display earned him the Player of the Match award with an average rating of 8.14.

His goal could be the moment that reignites both his confidence and Real Madrid’s European momentum.

Next up, Real face Liverpool at Anfield on 4 November in what promises to be another classic Champions League night.
