Reports from Italy say former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is waiting for the right project after rejecting approaches from Al-Ahli and Fenerbahce, amid rumors of interest from Juventus, Milan, and Manchester United.

Conte has yet to manage a club since leaving Napoli at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, after leading them to a Scudetto and Coppa Italia during his two-year spell at the Stadio Maradona. He is now waiting for the right project to start the next chapter of his career.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli previously contacted Conte and offered him a huge salary, but the Italian tactician was not interested in a move to the Saudi Pro League.

He was recently linked with Turkish side Fenerbahce, which he again turned down as he felt it wasn’t the right project for him.

Conte, who was present at the San Siro for Milan’s UEFA Europa League clash against Benfica, is currently being linked with both Juventus and Manchester United.

However, his presence at San Siro sparked further speculation about a potential move to the Rossoneri, especially following their 2-0 home loss in the Europa League.

In a related development, Ruben Amorim admitted that Milan might have a mental block after their 2-0 Europa League defeat to Benfica.

The coach had before kick-off said if he was going to fail, he wanted to “fail big,” hinting that he was well aware that he might not get the time to see his vision through in full at San Siro.

Amorim has now suffered his first defeat as Milan manager after back-to-back Serie A draws with Juventus and Lazio.

Benfica got the job done at the San Siro through goals from Dodi Lukebakio and Jakub Kaminski, as Milan again failed to find the net in the first half, and his substitutions couldn’t turn the situation around.

With Conte at the stadium during the defeat, amid speculation about his future, the pressure on the manager who joined this summer seems to be building.
