Dortmund set to speed up Jobe Bellingham transfer after Championship finals

Borussia Dortmund are pushing to sign Jobe Bellingham with immediate effect. However, the decision on Jude Bellingham’s young brother will have to wait due to the Championship playoff final on Saturday. Sunderland will be playing Sheffield United at Wembley for a spot in the Premier League, as it is one of the most important matches in the club’s recent history.

Following the final, Jobe will reportedly initiate conversation on his future, according to reports from news sources in Germany. Borussia Dortmund will push for him now, as they want him to be available for the FIFA Club World Cup. Despite strong interest from the Black and Yellows, there is no agreement yet.

Dortmund are respecting that Jobe’s time as the match on Saturday is crucial for his career and his current club. However, Borussia Dortmund are already preparing an offer for the 19-year-old and plan to submit it right after the final.

Despite the certainty on Jobe and the connection between the Bellingham family and BVB, the Black and Yellow don’t feel like they are in pole position, as clubs like Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are also very keen on the youngster. BVB will still push hard, though, as Jobe’s price tag is estimated to be between €25 million and €30 million.

It will be a tight race, with Dortmund and Leverkusen in the front, considering both will be playing Champions League football next season.

With clubs of the caliber chasing Jobe, it is easy to understand why Dortmund are pushing, but the need to fill his brother’s shoes in Black and Yellow could be a good and bad thing for BVB in this race.

The summer is still very much open as there are plenty of time to make things happen this window.
