I call him the cement – Erik Ten Hag heaps praise on Man Utd ‘difference-maker’ Casemir

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has showered praise on Casemiro for making a difference in the team. The Dutchman feels the Brazilian is like the cement in the midfield for the team as he binds the strikers and the defenders.

Manchester United defeated West Ham United by 1-0 on Sunday after Marcus Rashford scored in the 38th minute through a header after an assist from Christian Eriksen.

Meanwhile, Casemiro has made a positive impact for Manchester United since he joined the club from Real Madrid. The Brazilian has all the experience under his belt and he is making the most of it.

Speaking to Manutd.com, the Dutch manager said: “I call him the cement in the midfield. I think in and out of possession, he makes such a difference and he gives the team [an] extra edge and helps them dominate. I say in and out of possession because he can domnate games and he gives the team [that] extra edge to help dominate in the game.

”He can also read the game and he helps the players by pointing them into the right positions. He is anticipating both in and out of possession and also he sees the pass between the lines. One of the highlights of the game was his pass to [Diogo] Dalot in the first half. He is a top player and I am really happy to have him here.”

Meanwhile, after a dominating win against Tottenham Hotspur, Erik Ten Hag stated that Casemiro is worthy of every penny that Manchester United has spent on him. The Brazilian recently joined Manchester United from Real Madrid for about £70 million this summer.

Manchester United will next take on Real Sociedad on Thursday at Estadio Anoeta.
