Champions League defending champions Paris St-Germain are about to make their first signing a conversation with Premier League side Bournemouth over defender Ilya Zabarnyi.
According to reports, the newly-crowned European champions could pay £60million to purchase the centre back who has been offered a five-year contract after personal terms have been reportedly sorted.
The e Cherries had earlier in the current transfer window sold Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid for about £50m
Since the defender had agreed to personal terms, the premier league side are preparing for Zabarnyi’s exit from the Ligue 1 side following a string of impressive performances for Andoni Iraola’s side last season.
The Ukrainian international moved to the Cherries from Dynamo Kyiv in 2023. He is one of a number of players who look set to leave the club this summer.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth could also lose Milos Kerkez to Premier League champions Liverpool as they are standing firm with their valuation of £45m but could do a deal for around £40m.
Sources said that PSG are keen to seal a deal for a Bournemouth centre-back, who could be worth £ 60 million, as they begin their reinforcement ahead of next summer.
The addition of the centre-back will further strengthen the side that will play more games next season and will need to have quality players both on the pitch and on the bench.
PSG recently opened their World Club Cup campaign with a 4-0 spanking of Atletico Madrid.
The Reds quickly want to replace Andy Robertson, who could move to Atletico after the Spanish club showed in the Scottish international.
Kerkez could be the second signing after the club is expected to complete the signing of Florian Wirtz in what will be a club-record deal.
Liverpool seem to be prepared to sell Robertson, who only delivered one assist in the Premier League last season in 33 games, committing some uncharacteristic errors.
