Former Chelsea skipper John Terry has advised the club to go for English youngster Jadon Sancho when the summer transfer window opens.
The former Three Lions defender feels Sancho who stars for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga is going to be a ‘great addition’ to the Blues should a move be agreed.
Sancho has contributed to 29 goals, Fourteen goals, Fifteen assists in the German Bundesliga so far this season before the Coronavirus pandemic led to a break in the league.
John Terry explained that the forward has shown enough potentials to be thrust into the Blues first team.
He also appraised the performances of the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount who broke into the squad and displayed the quality they are made of.
“It would make us better as well but the ones that have come through, the Billy Gilmours, Tammy, Mason, Reece, it’s endless isn’t it? There have been so many positives this season.” Terry was quoted on Talksports
He disclosed further that a case where young players come into the senior team from the youth teams and academy just like he did is what every Chelsea fans want to see.
Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move back to England with Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City interested with deals reported to be like worth around £120million to bring him back to England.
Frank Lampard has given a first-team debut to at least 8 youth team players this season including James Reece, Mason Mount and newest sensation Billy Gilmour.
Chelsea are fourth with 48 points on the English Premier League standings with 9 more games left to be played although league matches have been suspended in the English Premier League until April 30th.
