Juventus retain Randal Kolo Muani as Vlahovic’s future remains uncertain

On-loan Paris Saint-Germane striker Randal Kolo Muani will play for Juventus during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

This was agreed upon between the two clubs, as the Turin giant will retain his services for a fee.

L’Équipe revealed this as the Frenchman continues to enjoy his loan stint with the Serie A side.

Kolo Muani joined Juventus on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January without a condition of making the move permanent.

As the season ended, the 26-year-old is expected to return to his parent club, which had recently won the UEFA Champions League.

Since the initial agreement with both clubs m was a straight loan that ran until the end of the season, it does not include the inaugural Club World Cup, which starts later this week. 

However, the club, in a recent development, confirmed that the France international would compete in the tournament with them as they have had to pay PSG a fee, the value of which has not been revealed, to allow that.

What remains to be seen is whether the French striker will play for Juventus beyond the US tournament.

Speaking while on international duty, the former FC Nantes and Eintracht Frankfurt forward didn’t hide his intention to remain in Turin.

The Italian side’s new CEO, Damien Comolli, is also aiming to retain the player, too. 

Therefore, an agreement must be reached with PSG to extend his stay as the future of the Frenchman at the Parc des Princes remains uncertain.

In another development, Juventus is yet to resolve the future of Dusan Vlahovic.

However, reports in Italy suggest that there is still a chance that the Serbian player will remain with Juventus for the 2025-26 season. 

Vlahovic, who joined the Turin club in the winter of 2022 from Fiorentina, is entering the final year of his Juventus contract in 2025-26.

This means that if Juve doesn’t cash in on him, then they will have to extend his contract.

Vlahovic is the highest earner in Serie with a reported net salary of €10.5m per season, which will rise to €12m for the final year of his deal in 2025-26. 

For a player Juventus coughed out €80m for, the club are still keen to avoid losing him on a free transfer, which can happen if Vlahovic is still on Juve’s books by February 1, 2026. 

Without a new contract extension, Juventus will have to sell Vlahovic in the upcoming summer transfer window if they are to avoid losing him for free.
