Juventus want Zirkzee on loan deal

Juventus are said to be interested in signing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.

The Turin club have already added two more attackers this summer, but they want to give Luciano Spalletti another choice at the top end.

Wednesday reports suggest the Red Devils are starting to come round to the idea of loaning him out.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Juventus are still in negotiations with United and Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, for the deal.

As the Premier League side are also looking to strengthen their own squad, they are willing to send the Dutchman out on loan for the 2026-27 season.

Meanwhile, Matteo Moretto also stated that United still want to sell the former Bologna striker on a permanent or loan deal with an obligation to buy this summer.

Since both reports say the player has approved Juventus as a potential destination, the real one will probably be concluded soon.

Zirkzee left Bologna in the summer of 2024 for the English club on a €42.5m deal, but has since fallen down the United pecking order in an attacking department that also includes Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo.

His goal return is an embarrassing nine goals from 75 appearances.

If this succeeds, Juventus will have said that they replaced Dusan Vlahovic with two new attackers in the permanent acquisitions of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen.

Luciano Spalletti also want to sign Atletico Madrid’s Alexander Sørloth just a few days ago to strengthen his squad with an additional striker.

The Norwegian had a great outing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and would want to continue that at club level, where he could make a fresh start after being benched by Julian Alvarez.

It remains to be seen if he will still push for his signature if Zirkzee ever joins the club.
