One of the world’s most recognizable basketball stars, LeBron James, is no stranger to crossing sports boundaries and passions. As is known, the Lakers star has a shareholding in the English club Liverpool, and their collaboration will be even more evident.
King James and Liverpool are about to officially launch the collaboration so that the English team wears the brand of the NBA basketball player, as has been the case with Michael Jordan and PSG for some years now.
Although there is no official date for the launch of this collection, it has begun to be speculated that it could be soon, and through various media in England, including the Daily Mail, the first images of the official jersey that the Anfield team has prepared to use it as a fourth kit.
The leaked images show the Liverpool shirt in black with red stripes and with the Lebron James logo on the front as its main official sponsor.
The idea arose from the Fenway Sports Group as an alliance with Nike, the brand in charge of dressing Liverpool, and as an option to integrate the basketball player as a direct competition to what Jordan does with PSG.
“I don’t know the details yet, but they are going to create seven or eight products that compete with Michael Jordan’s connection to Nike,” Liverpool president Tom Werner explained in the recent past.
In addition to the game jersey, the Reds have their sights set on launching a tennis collection, which will bear the Liverpool logo accompanied by the Lakers player’s symbol. However, new items are expected to be released in the coming months.
