Mbappe Double Seals Sixth Straight Win for Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe scored twice in two minutes as Real Madrid extended their perfect start to the La Liga season with a dominant 4-1 win away at Levante. The victory marks their sixth straight league win, pushing them five points clear at the top of the table ahead of Barcelona.

Real Madrid’s attacking intent was evident from the outset, with Vinicius Jr opening the scoring in style. The Brazilian forward struck a sensational effort in the 18th minute, curling the ball into the far corner with the outside of his boot from a difficult angle.

Vinicius later turned creator, delivering a pinpoint crossfield pass to 18-year-old Franco Mastantuono. The Argentine midfielder, who arrived at the club over the summer, showed composure beyond his years by blasting the ball into the top corner. The goal not only extended Real’s lead but also earned Mastantuono the distinction of becoming the club’s fourth youngest La Liga scorer—surpassing even Vinicius Jr.

Levante managed to pull one back midway through the second half. Ivan Romero’s looping cross found Etta Eyong at the back post, and the forward made no mistake with his header, briefly raising hopes for the home fans.

However, those hopes were quickly dashed as Mbappe took control of the match. In the 64th minute, the Frenchman converted a penalty with audacious flair, lifting a cool ‘Panenka’ over Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan. Just two minutes later, Arda Guler played a slick through ball into Mbappe’s path, and the forward made it 4-1 with a deft finish to bring his tally to seven league goals for the season.

With the win, Real Madrid continue their flawless start under manager Xabi Alonso, who now becomes only the second coach in the club’s history to win his first six La Liga games. He is now just one win away from matching Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s club record of seven straight wins to start a campaign, a milestone he can equal in Saturday’s derby clash against Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona will have a chance to close the gap when they visit Oviedo on Thursday, but for now, Real Madrid remain firmly in control at the summit of Spanish football.
