AC Milan have begun their plan for summer transfers as the management met with some of the representatives of their targets.
Italian media reported that Milan director Igli Tare met with an agent representing Bournemouth’s Hamed Junior Traore and Tottenham pair Radu Dragusin and Guglielmo Vicario.
Gabriele Giuffrida was reportedly at the Casa Milan headquarters for three hours.
Calciomercato. Revealed that different players came up in the discussion with the new director of sports, Tare. They included former Sassuolo midfielder Traore, who is now playing for Auxerre on loan from Bournemouth.
Since the agent also represents Tottenham Hotspur players Dragusin and Vicario, this prompted some intriguing suggestions.
Milan had intended to sell Fikayo Tomori to Spurs in January, but the player turned down the move.
The clubs could try again, and they might include former Genoa and Juventus defender Dragusin as part of an exchange deal.
The suggestion Vicario could be because Milan are looking for new goalkeepers. However, the negotiations with Chelsea for Mike Maignan collapsed because the Blues would not raise their €15m offer.
Agent Giuffrida also represents Udinese goalie Maduka Okoye. The Nigerian could also be in the frame of their discussion.
In a related development, Milan target Mile Svilar may stay at Roma as the Rossoneri are set for another meeting with the goalie’s agent over a new seal.
It was reported that both parties are close to an agreement on his wage demands for a new contract.
The current deal of the goalkeeper expires in June 2027. The matter is not quite as urgent as some would like to believe.
Due to a stalled negotiations over a new deal, there were reports that he was edging closer to Milan, especially if Mike Maignan were to leave for Chelsea.
As things stand, Svilar’s future is increasingly centred around Roma. Football Italia reported that the Rome club are pushing hard to get near to his wage demands of €4m per season.
