Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Decisions Don’t Seem to Make Sense

The Red Devils started the 2020-2021 Premier League season on the wrong foot, suffering a humiliating loss at home to Crystal Palace.

This defeat has caused many experts and fans to question boss Solskjaer’s decisions regarding transfers, as the team has not strengthened in the critical areas.

One of the biggest critics of the United signings has been former English striker Peter Crouch. During an interview with the Daily Mail, Crouch stated: “I held a lot of hope for them in the summer but, once again, the way they have negotiated the transfer market has left me puzzled.

They seem to buy good players, such as Donny van de Beek, but they don’t appear to have a method. If you’ve got Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, why do you want Van de Beek? “

According to Crouch and other experts who have expressed their opinion, United need to strengthen the defense and midfield. Still, it seems that they will not do it since all the club’s efforts are focused on the negotiations for Jadon Sancho.

Sancho has become the main target of the transfer market for the Red Devils, but the price of 120 million euros that Borussia Dortmund has set for the player has been the major setback. Manchester United has said they will not give up and will negotiate until the last minute to bring the player to Old Trafford.

When asked about the signings and the team’s performance, Solskjaer said that he feels confident with his players. The problem is that in the current Premier League, there is no margin for error. The three points lost to Crystal Palace can weigh heavily in the race for the title and the Champions League positions. For this reason, many fans are already asking for the head of the Norwegian coach.
