The Glazers Show Their Commitment to Man Utd by Opening Their Wallet

The Glazer family, who own the Red Devils, do not have a good relationship with the fans. Only a few months ago, the fans were protesting for the family to leave the club.

The family has made a large amount of transfer money available to the club to curry favor with the fans and demonstrate their commitment to the club.

In fact, between the signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane alone, the club has spent a staggering £115million. This figure is all the more surprising given that the club’s finances have been hit hard by the pandemic.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp questioned how a club could invest so much money in the current situation the clubs are in.

Speaking at a fan forum, Joel Glazer said that the club’s sound management of its finances and commercial business allows them to reinvest profits back into the club.  “The commercial growth at the club has helped deliver the revenue which ultimately underpins that investment in a sustainable manner,” Glazer said.

Also, at the same forum, Joel Glazer said that they are confident that Solskjaer can lead the team to win every competition this season and that they have invested in all the areas that the boss has asked them.

“Our goal is to win every competition we compete in, and we will continue to invest in our academy and in the transfer market to support the manager in an effort to meet the club’s goals,” Glazer said.

“We want this club to always be successful and win trophies. To compete for trophies requires significant investment.”
